VALENCIAN TRADITIONAL DISHES AND FOOD

ACTIVITIES AT OUR SCHOOL

We asked our students to do presentations about our traditional valencian dishes and food, our main recipes. Students did several presentations using PowerPoint, word, and so on.

For the presentations, students surfed the web buts as well asked to their relatives, who helped them explaining some recipes step by step. What is more, valencian students helped other immigrant sutudents to learn more about our meals and recipes.

We have one presentations about valencian recipes (for example paella) with sayings and proverbs. This proverbs are mainly valencian but students included other proverbs used in all the Spanish country.

We have another one with the main recipes of our hire “La Safor”, such as “fideuà”, “coques de dacsa” or “figatells”.

Once students finished the presentations, they put them in our Project corner for the following week. With that we want that the rest of students in our High School know more things about our traditions and we also want to disseminate the tasks, regarding the project, that we are doing here at IES Maria Enríquez.
